Sniffer Dog Saves Lives in Odisha

A sniffer police dog detected a series of mines planted by Maoists in Odisha during a bandh.


A police sniffer dog averted major casualties in the Rayagada road in Koraput district of Odisha yesterday when it detected a massive 5 kg mine planted by Maoists.
As the sniffer dog approached the mine, it went off. The dog was saved by its handler in the nick of time.
But with this one mine detection, the police were able to locate the other mines.

The mines were planted to spread terror and cause casualties during a bandh organized by the Maoists.
